COMPLEX OF THREE TOURIST RESIDENCES, Vargiani
Project Area: 327,12m²

The project is being implemented in the mountainous village of Vargiani, within a remarkable preserved traditional settlement. The sloping terrain of the plot in combination with the impressive mountainous landscape led to the architectural design of a complex of tourist residences consisting of two building volumes, which harmonize with the intense relief of the natural terrain. At the same time, during the formation of the surrounding area, different levels are created that "go down" the slope, starting with the entrance and parking level of the complex. Then, routes and stops follow, offering a unique experience between natural and built landscape. The facades are formed with visible stonework, wooden frames and a hipped roof following the traditional Architecture of the Settlement. The interior layout of the residences follows the open floor plan between the sleeping area, the living room and the kitchen, ensuring functionality for rest and relaxation as well as unobstructed views of the mountainous landscape.

SMALL HOTEL, Arachova
Project Area:294,83τ.μ.

The plot where the building will be constructed has an area of 2152.75 sq.m. with a strong elevation gradient (26%) and with a remarkable view of Arachova and the mountainous volumes of the Delphic landscape. To the southeast it adjoins a rural road. It is located in the area of Agia Triada Arachova, which is characterized as zone D. The area of the approved urban plan of Arachova is characterized as a traditional settlement and zone D as protection around it.
According to the architectural composition, the building is developed in three continuous volumes with different heights and openings so that each function of the building is better signalized and served.
The building is located in the high part of the plot, parallel to the rural road of the plot and its southeastern axis. Thus, the highest volume of the building is two-story and there are the four bedrooms with large openings to ensure the view. Then there is the connecting volume of the staircase.
Finally, the lower volume of the restaurant and the reception area is developed. The location of the restaurant, in combination with its large openings, ensure the unique view of the Delphic landscape and the picturesque traditional settlement of Arachova. At the same time, the design of the external environment around the restaurant aims to create an outdoor space of high aesthetics and functionality, through the large swimming pool, the planted gardens, the recreation and relaxation areas.

The central idea of the room design combines functionality with modern trends in the concept of hospitality. The rooms are also influenced by the traditional architecture of the area, with the use of natural materials such as stone, wood, pressed cement mortar, exposed wooden ceilings. The two rooms on the ground floor each have access to a separate small private pool that ensures relaxation with privacy within the natural environment. Also, each room provides all the functional specifications of its category.
Finally, the architecture of the accommodation follows the basic morphological characteristics of the local traditional architecture, but exudes a more abstract modernist perspective. The volume of the building as well as the configuration of the surrounding area follows the natural slope of the ground. For this purpose, levels are created at different levels of the plot in order to fully cover both the functional and aesthetic needs of the accommodation. All of the above parameters of the architectural composition, taken simultaneously and cyclically, compose a hospitality building with an authentic architectural identity that fully integrates into the unique Delphic landscape.
